Changing jobs...ever considered (or done) this?

    You dump the daily grind for an offer to be publisher/GM over editorial for a weekly. It's your operation. Same pay as what you have.

    If you did it, what was your experience? Regrets?

    I'm wondering if it's not a more secure place these days.

    It's only secure if you can maintain its profitability.

    Which doesn't usually involve increasing revenues as much as it does slashing expenditures.

    It depends on what you were doing. From my experience, the higher up the line you go, the more paperwork and bullshit you have to deal with.

    That's usually true, unless you're in a community that's growing. Then you may be able to pick off some new ad revenue.
