Census dilemma, and they're right

    For some reason we have not received a census form at our house.

    The bigger dilemma is the teabaggers boycotting the census -- and therefore being undercounted when congressional seats are apportioned.

    The only reason I completed my census is so a census worker would not show up at my house unannounced and get attacked by my dogs.
    For many upscale suburbs there is little benefit in filling out census. The stats are used against you.

    Well, at least all the census taker has to worry about with you is dogs. He could become part of a dinner with fava beans.

    My wife, who lost her job in January 2009, did time as a census worker last year.

    Her first day on the job she was bitten by a dog.

    She's also pretty sure she stumbled on a meth lab during her canvassing. But even if he was absolutely sure that's what it was she couldn't report it to the police. Census workers are prohibited from reporting any illegal activity they come across while they are doing their job.
