Cell Phone & Digi Recorder & Bluetooth?

OK, so today's special is technology questions.
I bought a RadioShack doodad that allows me to interface my cell phone with my digital recorder. To make it work, I hook up my cell's earpiece to the doodad and the recorder to that. Works fine, but there's a lot of wires to juggle, etc.
I'm thinking of getting a Bluetooth (or similar) earpiece to use when I'm driving. Anyone know if that technology can be used with a digital recorder so I can record interviews while I'm on the road?
Thanks in advance for any help/advice.
