Happy birthday ... happy birthday. Sin and sorrow everywhere, people dying, we don't care, happy birthday ... happy birthday.

That's all this 60-year-old fossil has to say.

    Mr Henry,

I started lying about my age -- lying up, when I was 26. I told people I was 28 because I thought they'd take me more seriously. Didn't work, but oh well. Stayed 28 until I was 28, and then told people I was 30, because I figured I was going to be thirtysomething for a lot longer than I was going to stay twentysomething. And I've done the same on and off ever since.

    YHS (DOB 25/9/56), etc

Henry: You're just lying about your age so you can get those discounts for 60-plus people at discount department stores

Henry: As somebody who turned 50 almost three years ago, you don't start to get the discounts until you are 55 (that's usually food at restaurants for smaller portions).
