Got this E-mail from ESPN. Stuck me as kind of funny. Seems to really triviallize Black history month by turning into a cheesy promotion.

Stephen A. Smith's Black History Month Celebration

ESPN Zone and 1050 ESPN Radio are teaming up with Harlem RBI to celebrate Black History Month with a special LIVE broadcast on Wednesday, February 27th from 2-4pm in the Screening Room.

Stephen A. Smith will be joined by the following special guests:

    -Steve Harvey
-Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Brown
    -Deion Sanders
    -NBA Commissioner David Stern
    -Shaun Powell
    -& More!!

Plus, New York Knicks' Legend Allan Houston will be signing autographs for everyone in attendance.

Steiner Sports will also be on hand hosting a Silent Auction with exclusive memorabilia to bid on with all proceeds benefiting Harlem RBI.

Skip to the front of the line! MVP Club members can request a table online, 24-72 hours in advance, for this very special event. Request the Screening Room at 1:30pm for the Stephen. A. Smith broadcast.

    Oh, who cares?

Now, on another note: Smith's has whaled on Clemens and Pettitte for weeks now, more so than anyone else, to the point of boring obsession. He's done so, by his own admission, as a kind of avenger for the treatment of Barry Bonds, which Smith viewed as racist. Thoughts?

    Onward.

But Steniner Sports will be there also. You might be able to pick up an autogrpahed Stephon Marbury Basketball.

As far as Smith approach to Clemens it's equally racist.

Remember, since the early '70s . . . the bar's been set really, really low.

We'll have to arrange a sitdown, someday, but somehow, can't fantom that this is the appropriate time and place.

    ;D
