Thought there was a thread for him, but doing a search couldn't find one. There was one for Chris Carpenter though. The emphasis on wins for a pitcher isn't what it used to be, but he could be over 250 at the end of the season. He won a Cy Young and has finished among the top 5 four other times.

That thread was last touched three years ago.

    As of right now,

    he's 17th in strikeouts
    he 44th in games started
he's 60th in wins (would move to 58 if lead holds tonight)
    he's 89th in innings pitched

After 3 shitty seasons if he can duplicate last year he will have 250 wins and a career 3.70 ERA while pitching almost exclusively in the AL in an age of offense. That is HOF worthy these days.

Heaviest pitcher ever (he has the height on Wells), so that has to count for something.

There was a CC HOF thread? didn't see one when searching.

    I'd bet Bartolo outweighs Wells.

That would be tough. I don’t dismiss Bartolo’s fatness, but Wells has at least 6 inches on him.

May have been talked about in the regular baseball threads.

Remember seeing him pitch in a high school game once. His speed was incredible, but what he got most hitters on was his curve.

He outfats him. He doesn't outweigh him.

    Remember the height difference.

Why didn't you do a title search for "Sabathia"?
