Agreed. Ball completely dropped by Lakers PR staff. Let's hope they do better when GLAAD calls.

Hell, just this week we had a guy threaten to kill another player.

Kobe going on ESPN Radio in L.A. in an hour, obviously about this because it's a game day.

If what happens on the court bothers people, the blame should not be placed on anything that exposes those actions or language.

"We don't need to know" is an odd argument to make on a journalism board.

If that's the case, the NBA needs to be consistent when it happens, because it happens all the time, not just when it's caught on camera. If this were a mid-level player during a T-Wolves-Pacers game, would it be given the same attention? Of course not.

    $100,000 fine. No suspension.

We're all missing the bigger picture here. What if the ref really is a fucking faggot?

Kobe: "I'm sorry so many people got upset by my homophobic epithet."

Another point: According to the original story Kobe's blowup came after he was called for a personal and then a technical.

Why was he not instantly teed up again and ejected? As in, "bang-zoom-gone."

Any time I hear a ref or anybody else complain about player behavior, my response is, "Hey, you've got the weapon in your hand. You can put an end to it any time you want."

I believe a $4 million apology cock ring is in order.

Surely Kobe isn't the first person foolish enough to say something so stupid. But, given other transgressions plus the fact that he wants to be more liked and idolized ... yeah ... pretty ignorant.

    Surprising? No.

If that was the case, he would have been suspended.
