Catholic university has the gall to hang crucifixes in classrooms!!!!!

From the Herald story

"BC spokesman Jack Dunn said college President Rev. William P. Leahy decided to install crucifixes in the university’s 151 classrooms as a means of reconnecting the school with its “Catholic mission.” ...

The display of crucifixes - some of them hand-carved works brought back by students from volunteer missions overseas - is an outgrowth of the college’s Committee on Christian Art, formed in 2002 to promote Christian artworks on campus."

I went to a Catholic university. There were small crosses in all the classrooms. No big deal, it kind of came with the territory. It's not like they're putting them in dorm rooms.

 

BC was "disconnected" from its Catholic mission?
How?

 

By dropping Holy Cross, Villanova, Notre Dame and Georgetown from the hoops schedule.

 

By charging $40K a year in tuition?

Nah, that can't be it.

 

Building a better football program than Notre Dame's?

 

It's only a cross, Jesus not included, but this is worn by one of the schools in my hometown's conference ...


And their team name is the Crusaders. Saracens apparently not welcome.
