This is a lovely disease, let me tell you. Has anyone ever had this?

Word of wisdom to all: Do not pet strange tail-less cats at mountain resorts over Thanksgiving.

If you turn into an right-of-Hondo yeehaw with an insatiable desire to shoot everything that moves, seek help immediately.

I covered a pot rally on an Indian reservation for an alternative magazine several years ago. Standard color piece. Nugent was the headliner. The burners who bothered to stay for the act booed his ass unmercifully.

The irony of Nugent headlining a pot rally is a story by itself.

Edit: To answer the original question: No, but a cat scratch on my palm once got pretty infected. Turns out I'm allergic to bacitricin, which is what I put on it. But all my friends said I had cat scratch fever. What are the symptoms of the real thing?

It's nothing dangerous. You'll feel no pain.

It paid very well and I did decide to get fried that day, dooley. So you've had this then, yes? Raised lymph nodes and the whole bit?

BYH, did it look like a zit that won't come to a head?

No, but I've heard the Ted Nugent song enough to quote it.

And just remember: Some people say you gonna die someday. I got news; you never gotta go.

No. It was just a pretty deep scratch with pus around it. Fun!

Like I said, later, I found out I was allergic to bacitracin, and I kept treating the wound with bacitracin.
