Shit, I was hoping to follow the Hemingway trail there.

Also, I am pretty shocked GW hasn't declared war on Cuba yet. If we are going to go after Iran we might as well kill everyone in Cuba as well, though the Cubans only have cigars, not oil. Nevermind.

The lesson, as always, is: Don't fuck with the Corleone family.

Nick Saban says he is absolutely not interested in the presidency of Cuba. Absolutely not.

I guess he has to say it. :D :D :D

Like I said with Arafat, I'll believe it when I see it. We've been waiting too long. And unfortunately, I don't think his death makes much of a difference for the people of Cuba if his equally monstrous brother takes over. The hope is that he's not as smooth, and harder for the West to look the other way at his oppression.

And speaking for all Canadians, a great place for a winter vacation, except there are too many Germans. :)

Guy, I thought I've heard that Raul was a gentler Fidel, and perhaps open to more Americanization.

Surely by now a change in policy is in order. The embargo sure as hell hasn't worked.

The embargo is a curious historical oddity that no one wants to address.

I agree with Guy. I'll believe it when I see it.
