If it weren't for this thread, I would have been completely unaware of this girl and probably her show.

Good for her. It gives parents of troublesome kids a chance to brag that they are raising their young 'uns to reality TV millionaires.

Ambition and aspiration uncoupled from talent, intelligence, drive or work ethic = a legitimate approach to life in US

Whatever reality TV deal she has. ... she is not getting paid $1 million for it. And there is no way she is a millionaire already, the way she suggested. She has cashed in her 15 minutes of fame for appearance fees and ad placements on her social media, and undoubtedly she has people giving her tens of thousands of dollars at a time. But I would bet with certainty she hasn't found a million dollars yet in her newfound "fame."

Did she suggest she's a millionaire already? I didn't read the link. Just saw the tweet posted that said she's "going to be" a millionaire. Whatevs.

I have no problem with her cashing in on this for however much she can. Hope she's able to grow up a bit and better herself, and doesn't end up in porn as someone else suggested. I don't expect it, but hope it works out for her because she doesn't appear to have had anything good in her future before all this hubbub. May as well make the most of it.

Surely you're not suggesting that the HowBowDah girl doesn't have a firm grasp on the intricacies of personal finance.

In my experience, throwing money at a person and expecting them to make better life decisions is pretty unlikely.

    She said she's going to be a millionaire at 14. I assume she's 14ish.

Rage said "there's no way she's a millionaire already, as she suggested." The tweet posted had her saying she's "going to be." So there's a disconnect between what he said and what the tweet posted said. Thus, I asked if it was in the article that was linked, because I didn't bother to read it.
