DMR did a story on him - a long, mostly positive story - that included a "routine background check" of his social media and found racist jokes on his Twitter account from 8 years ago when he was 16.

A Change.org petition started to get the DMR to apologize.

 

Had a buddy in college who would open an Olde English 800 before he went to bed so it would be flat and warm and ready to drink when he woke up.

 

Now old racist tweets have been unearthed from the writer’s Twitter profile from 8 years ago.

I created an account years ago, made — maybe — one post and never went back. I don't even know what my password is anymore. I'm pretty sure I'm not missing anything by not being on there.

 

Its the fucking mother's milk for many here.

 

It's just another way to post a link.

I think it's gotten much worse since Trump became president.

 

This is why one should never tweet.

The fact the DMN reporter didn't have the foresight to clean up his social media profiles before joining Iowa's biggest newspaper is laughable.
