    David Butler has long been a Dean Singleton kiss ass. He likes making people interview for their own jobs.
    And, let me be clear, the only thing David Butler has accomplished in journalism is to leave each paper in worse shape than before he arrived.
    He has an uncanny knack for sucking.

    Someone must not have liked Carole's vision of what the new Merc would look like.

    Boy, has that paper gone downhill in a hurry. The San Francisco Fishwrap has been better on some days.

    I'd like to know what some SJ citizens think of the Merc's initiatives.
