If I get pizza tonight, I'd be surprised.

glenquagmire, with those kind of ideas, you'll soon be promoted to chief financial officer.

An editor sent out a similar message at my paper about eight years ago, before the massive layoffs started. "Remember, the pizza is just for those working on the election!" Nice.

Only thing worse would be to bring in frozen pizzas and microwave them for the troops.

I'm helping with elections tonight. It's not been confirmed that we're getting anything, and no one is assuming that we will be fed. I'm brown-bagging it just in case.

Not being in a newsroom/organization directly affected by election coverage, I've been contemplating buying myself a pizza for dinner just because ... perhaps I should call up my local newsroom and see if they'd like pieces I won't eat so that everyone else can have more.

I will kind of miss being in a newsroom for an election, though ... especially one this big. Although relaxing on my couch with a beer tuned to CNN is hard to beat.

It's really sad that news people will have to work at night and on deadline. I feel bad for them, and I hope they get all the pizza they need.

Jesus, this is ridiculous -- buy your own damn pizza you cheap bastards.

I mean, my God -- three of you throw five bucks together each and you can buy two, what the fuck is the problem?
