car trouble (again)

The warranty paid for the transmission replacement. I picked up the car from the shop today. On the way home from covering lacrosse, the new (rebuilt) transmission failed, even worse then the old one. There was transmission fluid and antifreeze leaking all over the place and when the car was on drive (or reverse for that matter) didn't wouldn't move.

The guy at the shop said the transmission has a one-year warranty.

I just don't understand how this could happen so soon. Is it sort of like the body rejecting a bad organ transplant?

Maybe the people who fixed the thing should have done a better job.
There's no reason this should have happened.

Back at the transmission shop that did the repairs.

But they're sort of epic problems, Dools. Don't make me change my avatar back. Even I couldn't stand looking at it for three days.

Not to worry; I have the antidote now.

    I absolutely love this line.

How is this even possible? How can a newly-installed transmission fail after a few hours?
There's no reason this should have happened.
