    Hammer, listen up.

I've been looking for new cars all month. No way should a Focus be that much right now. Especially a used one.

You can get a Fusion for 18k right now. They're selling Focus' for $9.995 right now in Michigan. BRAND NEW '08 models.

Seriously, you can get a better deal.

Here's a story from a week ago... slumping economy drives used car prices up.

Another thing to consider if you're not dead set on the Focus: used Toyotas have a 5 yr/100k mile warranty on them.

Another vote for program cars. Our last one was an '05 Taurus, bought in late '06.

Yeah, I think there are better deal on new cars.......I like edmunds.com for research... know your number. Stick with it. Walk out otherwise. A customer who can get a loan is gold.

  9. Buy new. Prices are lower than ever.

It's not like I'm going to take the sticker price.

The Fusion is an excellent car - not an econobox.

I'm 6-1, 220ish, and I've never felt cramped in one. The gas mileage is great, too.

I found one with similar miles for about $13,900 at another local dealership online, so the starting point on my end with all of them is 11k ... and I'm walking away if they don't start at around $13,500.
