Our intern has called me a couple of times today looking for numbers of former high school teammates...
This is awful... hell, the kid played earlier this season and now he's dead from cancer....

Two weeks ago, he was on the sidelines. Such a sad story. RIP.

    Rest in peace, Nick.
Condolences to family and friends of this young man.
MSU mourns after the initial outlook was that he had a reasonable chance at recovery.

Talk about a 180-degree swing in emotions. One minute Mississippi State is celebrating a huge victory and feeling good about the world. Less than 72 hours later and they're mourning a fallen teammate. Tough situation for anyone, of any age, to handle.
    RIP, Mr. Bell.

It's so sad so see a young man snuffed out before his time. My heart goes out to Mississippi State. Tomorrow is promised to no one.

Looks like visitation in Birmingham will be Thursday and services will be Friday.
Clarion-Ledger has a great little photo montage of Nick during his short career as a Bulldog
