Canadian figure skating legend suspended from coaching

The country that gave you Toller Cranston, rumoured lover of Toronto Maple Leafs captain Wendel Clark way back in the day, has apparently also produced the horniest heterosexual male figure skater ever seen around these parts.

Lloyd Eisler has been suspended from coaching by Skate Canada, a decision that came down last week. The reason for the suspension was not revealed then, but the Toronto Star has revealed it was due to "sexually suggestive emails" he sent to a 15-year-old girl in the spring and summer of last year.

Eisler is 43 years old. He's a native of Seaforth, Ontario, also the hometown of veteran NHL forward Boyd Devereaux, and is a former world pairs champion and two-time Olympic bronze medallist.

He now lives and coaches in California, where U.S. Figure Skating is not compelled to honour the Skate Canada suspension. He's shacked up with the original Buffy, Kristy Swanson, who is pregnant with his baby. She's due in February.

They met last winter while working together on the show "Skating With Celebrities," and Eisler abandoned his marriage to be with Swanson. His wife was expecting the couple's second child at the time. Nice guy, eh?

 

He and Kurt Browning may be the only straight male figure skaters in the history of the sport.

 

Ew ... gross.
