Description
Canada’s fastest-growing trade publisher is looking for a highly-motivated and dynamic part-time contract editor to manage our thoroughbred horse publication on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will assign, write and edit both online and print content to meet the highest editorial standards.

In collaboration with the editorial director, the editor will work with freelance writers and photographers to research and develop news stories and features of vital interest to the industry.

This role includes building relationships with representatives from major industry associations and attending conventions, trade shows and other events. The editor also works closely with our in-house production department and with advertising sales representatives.

Simcoe is about 30 min SW of Hamilton and 30 min due west of Niagara Falls. It would be fairly inexpensive to live there. It's also home to Canada's smallest circ daily newspaper, for what it's worth...
