Can you block e-mail from someone?

I have gmail, and I'm getting harrassing e-mails from a person I no longer communicate with. Not an ex-boyfriend, just someone I used to chat with whom I no longer want to chat with.

    Is it possible?

Yes, you have to create a filter ...

Yep. Give me your address and I'll send you the instructions.

    (I kid.)

Seriously, just go under settings on your mail page, click on filters and set it up. It's an easy step-by-step process.

Go to your Gmail settings ... hit Filters ... then create a filter. No more mail from that address.

    Done. Sorry I'm retarded.

That only lasts, of course, until said person opens a new e-mail account.

Takes me back to AOL, where I think you could do that with the push of a button.

All you had to do was ask IJAG. I would have stopped.

Not as much fun that way as making you wonder why I've stopped sending you back the "FUCKING STOP WRITING ME, YOU PSYCHO!" responses.

Yeah, there are workarounds for a persistent pest. Here's hoping it's resolved before you have to involve restraining orders and/or firearms.

I thought it was an endearing cry for help and request for even more e-mails.

Same here. I will now put my nose in the corner and feel shame.
