Can anyone refer me to some award-winning weekly papers?

The Deer Creek Pilot, in Rolling Fork, Mississippi, has had tons of award-winning editorial page rant material over the years.
Editor Ray Mosby knows how to shake up city hall and to keep order in the always-potentially-corrupt lower Mississippi Delta.

Observer and Eccentric along with Heritage Newspapers in Michigan used to be really good.
Now, JRC owns Hertiage and Gannett has cut staffing to the bone at the O&E.
Still, they do a good job of knowing what their readers want, along with exposing some wrongs and covering a lot of preps.

Deer Creek beat me for general excellence once. They are, indeed, a good brand.

City Pages in Minneapolis used to be excellent.
