Can anyone convince me that the 1970s were not the greatest decade for music?

    Songs like Lonley Boy are what seperates the 70s from other eras for me.

    Rent Boogie Nights and pay attention to the background music. Much a great sample of the 70s.

    The guy in the middle? Now a congressman from New York.

    Some of the bands of the 1970s typified what made the decade good. Think about the Doobies, a band that started off kind of roadhouse rock, a little countryish with "Black Water" going all the way to R&B later in the decade. You had a lib like Michael McDonald playing along with righty Jeff "Skunk" Baxter.

    Good call. Marty totally got fucked out of the royalties he deserved for writing that song. ;)
