Can anybody please explain the love for FrankTV?

His standup is great, but what makes it great is his ability to instantly change voices. He can't do that on his show, and it stinks.

I still love the story about how Caliendo became nationally known. He called a radio station as Madden, convinced them he was quitting. The radio station was writing up a press release when he finally came clean.

I think someone told me that Jimmy Kimmel "discovered" him.

I've always enjoyed his Jim Rome.

    That's probably his best one. In-credible. Un-believable.

    I'd love to, Casty. I just can't.

It can't be worse than House of Payne, can it?

    I won't watch either one.

I haven't watched it either, I refuse to because I would be giving in to the TBS self promotion.

    I didn't know that - that's awesome.

He was on MadTV, IIRC, but Kimmel's show is where he hit the national scene pretty big. Kimmel introduced him as Madden and he killed. After that, he started getting appearances on Letterman, etc., and eventually was hired for the Fox football, doing his weekly picks.

Ditto. He's amazingly proficient at what he does (his Madden, Bush, Robin Williams, Jim Rome, Bill Walton and Charles Barkley are the best I've ever heard), but he's incredibly over-exposed at this point.
