Can anybody please explain the love for FrankTV?

I have to admit I have watched all the promos TBS is using and, honestly, I haven't laughed yet. Is it me? Is it just because I'm old and don't get the humor these days? I have to admit I think the guy is stupid and I don't know why he's getting a show of his own.

Somebody explain that to me, please.

There is no love, other than TBS programming taking a page out of the ESPN playbook.

FrankTV is horrible because the star is mediocre at best. You take that doofus out of costume and the only impression he can do is Madden. His Pacino is horrible. His GWB sounds like something the local FM morning show crew could do.

Although, his GWB is better than Saturday Night Live's...

    His Barkley is good, though:

(Sorry for the Frank TV clip that starts it)

    I love Caliendo.

    His show sucks.

  10. There's no love for it, but because it costs so little to produce and make, they can churn episodes repeatedly, while using the same advertising device that TNT and ESPN have used for years during sports events.

    Caliendo's stand-up is pretty solid.

    His show sucks.

Caliendo is like a less talented version of Dana Carvey. He's brilliant at what he does, but that just doesn't translate into much other than a sketch TV show or stand-up comedy.
