    Didn't see this anywhere.

Met Williamson some years ago......seems like a nice guy.

Didn't that happen to Roy "Tin Cup" McAvoy?

You can't fire me, I just knocked it stiff from 250!

    Old news.

For those of you who didn't see any of it, Jim Furyk won the tournament for the second year in a row. Beat Vijay by one stroke.

Man, the Canadian Open has certainly fallen on hard times in the last few years. Lost Bell Canada as their primary sponsor, they started scheduling it in September and nobody came and this year it was wedged between the Open and the PGA Championship.

Props to CBS for their coverage. They were gushing about Canada more than Canadians do and their cameras did a "Tiger" on Mike Weir. Pretty funny.

I'll tell you one thing: the Canadian fans love Vijay.

The shots of Stadler, Mickelson, McCord were great.

They need Frank D'Angelo to step in as a sponsor.

I think you were away and missed him getting booed when he put on a "half time show" at an Argos game. What a tool.

D'Angelo makes the now defunct Canadian Tire guy look like The Greatest Canadian Ever.

    Five-iron, huh? Well, you're fired.

Didn't Ian Woosnam do something like this several years ago when his caddy put 15 clubs in the bag and cost him a couple penalty strokes?

Not during the round, but a couple of weeks later.
And it was during the British Open when Woosie was near the lead entering the final round.

As I recall........Woosie had an extra driver.

Hits a iron stiff to the Par 3 2nd hole......puts iron in bag.....sees 2 drivers......takes the driver and chucks it.

Missed playoff by 2, if I recall.

It was the 2001 British Open, and the firing came two weeks later after the caddie overslept and missed a tee time.

Woosnam finished in third place at the British, four shots behind David Duval. The extra club cost him two shots, one for each hole he had the extra driver in his bag. He was working with a couple of different drivers on the driving range.
