C. Thomas Howell thread

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Ellis Redding, Mar 6, 2007.

  1. David Spade once said, "C. Thomas Howell? Thanks, I've seen enough."

Well fuck David Spade. Fuck him. Feed him fishguts.

Where else in the history of Hollywood can you find a career as diverse as C. Thomas Howell's?

He burst onto the scene at the age of 16 as Ponyboy Curtis.

Then came his masterful role in Red Dawn. (Hi BYH!)

A year later, he was mackin' it to Kelly Preston AND Lori Laughlin in Secret Admirer.

But 1986 truly was the Year of the Howell. First, he survives Rutger Hauer's rampage in The Hitcher. Then came a performance which shamefully was overlooked by the Academy -- his turn as Mark Watson in Soul Man.

Far from a flameout, Howell went on to become a beach volleyball champ in Side Out and a Civil War lieutenant in Gettyburg.

His career took a brief hiatus until he popped up as Elisha Cuthbert's love interest during Season 5 of 24. That's right folks. First, Kelly Preston and Lori Laughlin. Now Jack Bauer's little girl.

Is there anything Christopher Thomas Howell can't do? Only time will tell.

Hey, the Hitcher was a great movie! I also heard rumors he starred in x-rated movies. Anyone else heard about that?

I learned two things on this thread:

Making Soul Man was a really bad career decision.

Gettysburg had a warm spot for a lot of Hollywood has-beens.

Check out Ponyboy's IMDB page. Dude is the busiest B-movie actor going.

And Ellis you forgot his guest stint on ER. Fuck you!!!!

These are the most idiotic threads ever...
  12. You're right. I should have started the 10th ANS thread.
