When does Broyles retire? Actual date please; "not soon enough" or an equivalent are not acceptable answers

It's either Dec. 31 or the end of the 2007-2008 school year.

Broyles is set to retire Dec. 31, 2007, but unless a suitable candidate is found, he may stay on until a replacement is named.
The biggest name popping up is Terry Don Phillips at Clemson, but Phillips has a didn't keep his dick in his pants with female students problem from when he worked at Arkansas before so he's likely out.

So here's the thing. I know a little bit about D-1 sports networks. All contracts say, "Our announcers are employed by (insert sports network here) with the approval of the University, but the university never really has any say. The only university that I know about that has a real say regarding their play-by-play person is Oklahoma and that's another story in itself. The company who knows a little about broadcasting picks the person and the university signs off.

Frank Broyles just wants his hands in every piece of the pie he can get them in before he leaves, and he's doing it because he's concerned his legacy is in jeopardy because he hung on too long.
