I'm taking Reid and Pelosi to task for not standing up to a president they were sent to Washington to stand up to. Remember, they were sent their in large part because of the unpopularity of Iraq--- yet they have given in on every step of the way in Iraq and we all know that come next January when George W. gives up the keys to the White House, we'll still be in Iraq.

They have been spineless and clueless since day 1 on every single major issue they claimed to be dear to them and a priority to them with regards to smacking down this president , but hey, they expanded head start!!! yippeeeee

Newt stood up to the Clintons and he was able to beat back the most liberal of their initiatives -- which meant they had to scrap a whole lot of their bullshit and start anew.

To argue otherwise is just not being honest.

And you are wrong -- I don't hate Democrats, I loathe Partisan Politics in general because they cause a whole lot otherwise intelligent people to lose their damn minds in defense of "their guy."

What "big government initiatives" were on the table after '94 for Newt to defeat? What is this hippy culture in the WH of which you speak?
