Our competition, sure, and while I enjoy the competition for stories, etc., I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I will say I admire the way a Post blog takes shots at the Post here.

Admire isn't the right word - but you know what I mean. They're treating their outlet like they would any other.

At my last shop (out of newspapers now), our story about our biggest swath of layoffs (printing off-site, etc.) was killed by the higher-ups at Paxton. Those of us who made it through are still pissed about that, though I'm sure it happens everywhere.

Note: None of us are in newspapers anymore. Thanks, PR.

What are the buyout terms? Two weeks per year? Three? One defined payout?

  5. Well, Paxton is a paid-up member of the axis of evil.
