    Are you saying that TV stations with websites don't have someone to check copy for things like, you know, accuracy, spelling and grammar?

    I don't know if they do or not. But TV Web sites are NOTORIOUS for misspellings. I think it's because TV is a visual medium. In my job, I don't have to know how something's pronounced, just how it's spelled. It's the opposite for them. They could write "Gene" but as long as it's said that way on air, they're fine.

    So then, they basically take copy and put it on the site, far as I know. And that leads to errors.

    Of course not. Then they would have to pay, like, real money to people to edit the stuff. God forbid!!

    They just assume you'll figure it out on your own.
