Very well done story. It got a little dusty in my place with the end quote about the store owner knowing how the families of the dead robbers feel because he lost a son as well (to suicide).

Saw a clip of Gus on the news yesterday and was really impressed.
He was very distraught about the shooting, said something like he kept telling the guys there was no money in the store "just leave, and we'll forget this ever happened." But they wouldn't listen and he felt he had to defend himself, that he really didn't want to do it. "But what else was I supposed to do?"

Indeed. Their updated lot in life (whether ithat lot includes being deceased or not) is a product of their decision to rob the store. I'm disappointed he didn't finish off the other two.

Actually, I'm pleasantly surprised at the response.

So if he did have a Mack-10 or an AK, would you have a problem with him defending himself and his employees?

Yeah, really. I guess if someone broke in my house and I protected myself by using my AK-47 or AR-15 I'd be a bad guy.
