    This struck me as kind of goofy but someone actually thought it worth pointing out, what with the new Star Trek movie coming out.

    It does seem goofy, but I can remember there was a book that explored Picard's command style for lessons people could take with them to the business world as managers.

    I could see it much more with Picard since he regularly consulted with his officers. Kirk's top-down command style wasn't seen as effective nowadays.
