Is Scott Skiles jewish? At least they waited until after the holiday then ...

  3. At least we'll have some news to put in the paper.

  4. Jerry Reinsdorf can expect the first of the Spirits when the clock strikes one.

  5. Didn't they do the exact same thing with Tim Floyd a few years ago?

  6. Sorry, I've erased the Tim Floyd era from my memory.

He gets paid a lot of money for a while to do nothing.
    I'd say that's a good Christmas present.

My-way-or-the-highway coaches cannot win in the NBA.

    Period.

The players have too much power to take shit from coaches for very long.

The only way an NBA coach can be successful is to get the players on his side. Ass kissing and mollycoddling is usually necessary.

If you have napoleonic power complexes, the NBA is not the place to indulge them.

Obviously Skiles should have asked Isiah Thomas for advice and he'd be a lot more successful.

  10. Or figured it out before the season started ...

I think this was a bad move. A coach can't make chicken salad out of chicken s***. I think he's a good coach.

Wasn't Tim Floyd fired on Christmas or close to it?

    I can remember Krause saying,

"Wipe that smile off your face Mr. Mariotti..."
