I'm calling BS.

I don't know any women who spend hundreds of dollars a month on their upkeep. And I know people who make moderately decent money.

 

I know a few, mostly those who tan and have a lot of hair color, but it's not nearly $700, and I don't know anybody who goes to a "bikini boot camp."

 

Either that is satire or that guy is the biggest douchebox on the planet.

 

I've voting for satire. Surely no one is that big of a douche.

 

Good satire lets you in on the joke at some point in a subtle fashion. Unless my subtletymeter is borked, this didn't.

 

Bikini Boot Camp sounds like the title of a porn movie with Tiffany Millions and Herschel Savage.

That might be a somewhat dated definition of satire. The new trend is never breaking character.

Now that I've actually looked at his picture, he has no business telling women they need to take better care of themselves. He needs some serious body sculpting and an eyebrow wax.

Given that he's a screenwriter, maybe he's generalizing the amount of money an actress spends a month to what the general American woman spends. That's the only thing I can think of, given that not even my most over-the-top friend spends nearly that much a month on her upkeep.
