Bridge collapse in MSP

This is amazing... CNN, MSNBC, and FOX News are all picking up MSP tv feeds

 

Wow these pictures are insane. I can't believe how far those cars had to fall. Would it have been better to fall into the water or onto the ground part?

 

holy shit. This is awful. A school bus stopped just in time. Hand of God?

 

They just said there are cars upside down underneath the bridge in the water.
This is very scary.

 

I don't like driving over bridges one damn bit. This won't help.

 

CNN just went away from the bridge story....what the fuck?

 

Interesting. CNN lives for this kind of catastrophe, yet they're doing a piece on Tillman right now. I find that interesting.

 

And as soon as they did it, I switched away.

I notice they're back, now.

 

This is just awful. It's a hell of a drop into the water there, and the current is fast.

 

I hate bridges too. Keep our fingers crossed that the tol isn't too horrific, I suspect there will be a lot of nervous people in the Cities tonight waiting for their spouse/children/loved ones to come home.

Just drove over 35E instead of 35W last month from the north on my way to the MSP airport. That's going to be a mess because there's a ton of construction on 35E right now.

 

Any early speculation on why this happened?

Here in northern New England, and especially this area I live in, I cross bridges all day long. Every time I go over one, I wonder if it's going to collapse.

 

They were having some kind of video/audio problems and Paula Z. was getting flustered. They went to the Tillman story for just a minute or two.

Man, this is awful. I am having lots of trouble seeing the video.
