More career sacks than Ray Lewis, by the way.

I'm sure Mark Gastineau does as well.

Well, part of the argument against Urlacher on here was that he doesn't get to the quarterback enough.

Defensive players in my lifetime, or let's just go since 1980 since I'm too young to remember Randy White or Jack Lambert...

    1. LT
    2. Reggie White
    3. Ronnie Lott
    4. Ray Lewis
    5. Deion Sanders

Dwight Freeney and Charles Woodson threatening the Top 10 at all, you think?

Rod Woodson and Bruce Smith would be there as well...

I think defensive players really get shortchanged by the fantasy craze. People are so offense obsessed now, they barely know who the great defensive players are. They just don't get that much attention.

Getting back to the thread topic, who has been a better LB besides Ray Lewis? I say it's Lewis, Urlacher, then everyone else. (I'm not including pass-rushers who play in a 3-4.)

Yes. Didn't even have to think about it.

I'd give Willis a couple more years before he's in the conversation. Seau is interesting, because he played 10 years before Urlacher was drafted, which almost makes him a different era in my book.
