I agree about him being a roided up safety. Not sure I agree about him not being feared. Not necessarily in the way Ray Lewis or LT was feared, but Urlacher has always had a knack for coming up with the huge play.

No. It's not. The '85 team is beyond criticism in Chicago.

Among meatheads. Serious sports fans in Chicago know that Urlacher is better.

I don't think you saw him play or know enough about him.

Always baffles me that people think a player from the past couldn't make it today because today's players are so much bigger and faster. You don't think maybe the very greatest players in the history of the game could have adapted?

If you can't run, you can't run. Then. Now. In the future.

I see that, as often happens, we've reached the point in the discussion where you have two options:

    1) You agree with Dick Whitman.

    2) You're a meathead.

Always a good time to check out of the discussion and get back to work.

    Oh, "Waaaaaah!"

Nowhere did I say that if you don't think Urlacher is better than Singletary, then you're a "meathead."

But if you believe that the '85 Bears are above criticism, then you are probably a meathead. There are a lot of meathead '85 Bears fans. A lot of them call sports talk radio.

There are a lot of idiot Bears fans, period.

I knew a lot of fans in Chicago who were disappointed by the Blackhawks' Cup team because they weren't physical enough. They'd rather see their team beat up the other team than win.

The only thing to criticize about that team is that it only won one title.

Urlacher's career is actually somewhat similar to Butkus'.

Lewis is in the discussion of the greatest football player who ever lived. It's not fair comparing Urlacher to him.

Seven Pro Bowls, four All Pros, Def Rook of the Year, Def MVP - he's in, but he is not one of the all timers.

And we was hurt in two different seasons.
