According to an article in the British edition of the Guardian I saw before the vote, two-thirds of the European players in the Premier League would not qualify for residency visas when EU freedom of movement goes.

I don't see how anything changes. Britain is already outside of the Schengen Agreement. When you get off the ferry in Dover or land at Heathrow, you have to clear customs.

TT, the players are earning a living in Britain. Under EU freedom of movement, they could do so without a work visa. Now maybe not, as that's one of the bazillion issues that have to be negotiated between Britain and the EU on the terms of the divorce.

So do GB golfers participate in the Ryder Cup or the Presidents Cup now?

Oh, it's better than that. some regions in Wales and the far southwest of England, like Cornwall, receive direct economic assistance from the EU and voted Leave anyway. Cornwall has already asked the British government to make up the difference. Good luck with that, gang.
