I feel like this is a headline from The Onion come to life.

What's up with teams trying to portray fast action on statues?

Here's a Gordie Howe one in Joe Louis. And there's statues of Ted Lindsay and Alex Delvecchio that do the same thing.

My first thought when I saw this was how much vandalism this statue is going to endure.

He brought baseball back to Milwaukee, and for that, he's a Brewers' icon, but he also ruined baseball in Milwaukee in many fans' minds, using the Brewers as the guinea pig for the "woe is us, we're small-market!" bullshit with his family selling way past time when they could capably run the team themselves. Many in the Miller Park tax district -- right or wrong -- won't be happy with this statue either.

He deserves his place for bringing the team to Milwaukee, but they probably should have waited until he was dead.

Maybe they'll just find a statue in Seattle and take it to Milwaukee right before the season begins.

The Chinese already beat Milwaukee to it.

Baseball is going through some of its best times right now. And the steroid era was much more a product of the players union refusing to allow testing in the CBA.

Sorry, but all the hatred for Selig is so misguided it's not even funny.

He still gets the "blame" for cancelling the World Series in 1994. Sorry, but the players were the ones on strike, not the owners.

    Seriously.
Maybe the headline should be -- The Best New Place For Birds To Shit

Everyone really knows his real name is Osama Bin "Bud" Selig right?
