Would that be Danys Baez and Manny Aybar?

    that's rich.

Anyhoo, I like Betemit. I think he's on the threshold of being top-tier.

That said, I wanted to shed a tear when I saw the Dodgers are in last place. Wasn't it, like, 10 days ago they were in 1st? Pathetic. I need to be the GM.

Is Ipod the player to be named later?

Agree with Songbird. I think Betemit is going to be really good. He's not going to be Melvin Nieves, let's put it that way.

Is Betemit that good? Nine homers, 29 RBI from the hot corner? I hope he gets better. Haven't followed baseball enough this year to know.

Is Colletti just dealing to deal?

    Who closes... Baez or Wickman?

Betemit was touted as the ultimate 5-tool player 5 years ago. He struggled in the minors. But I like his plate maturity during the last year. He's had to platoon a lot. He needs to be playing every day to find the rhythm. There was an at-bat against Chan Ho Park a few weeks ago I wrote about here that really typified his maturity as a hitter.

It's a very good move for the Dodgers, I think.

Wickman. Baez would be a darn good setup man to get to the Braves to Wickman in the ninth.

Baez set up, Wickman closer. Until something happens like Wickman can't find the strike zone, I say do it like that.

Whoever does the job better than 1-10 George Sosa, I don't care. [/braveslooserfanboy]

    That's pretty accurate.

His biggest problem is that his best position is 3B, and, uhh, it be kinda tough for anyone to break in there in Atlanta, know whatta mean?

Mondesi seemed like a head case. He fizzled after he was good.

So... Aybar becomes the backup at 2B and 3B?
