    You could make a case that any high-profile death like this creates a windfall for someone. Paul, Ringo and George probably profited from Lennon's death somewhere along the line. Something along the lines of, people who hadn't gotten around to buying and might not have otherwise bought Beatles albums went out and bought them out of nostalgia after Lennon died. Just sayin
