Bowl-eligible, yet should stay home

    Penn State.

    Sure, they'll get in. But did JoePa's Kids do anything to earn a bowl date? Losses in every marquee game (ND, OSU, MICH, WISC), not to mention a ridiculously easy non-conference slate (Akron, Youngstown St., and Temple...oh my).

    Hey, at least they shut out Purdue. ::)

    Cuban cigars, Yonge Street and deliriously strong beer. That's all I gotta say about Toronto.

    (Pitt does not deserve a bowl invite, btw. Nor Mizzou. Still on the fence about Kentucky.)

    But Shula's gonna be gone, so there's that dynamic.

    No fucking way Alabama would go to Boise. But it's fun to think about.

    Doesn't matter. Going to the Independence Bowl, so looks like I'll be staying at home. However, it will be interesting to see how Miami likes Boise.

    Does yesterday's win change your opinion much?

    Granted WVU was overrated, but you had to figure that the Steinbrenners would at least be half-decent in that pathetic conference.
