    Anything to smite the Globe.

    ;)

You know what it's like in Boston right now. Someone will try to break what color Belichek farts next.

You have to remember the Boston mindset.

There is a conspiracy against the Patriots. Everyone else in the country hates them.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Globe and Herald *expected* he wouldn't get it.

I bet there were people agitating for someone else, someone unexpected.

It was documented that they had done is several times before.

And now there's suspicion about other stuff -- all because Bill B. has to act like an asshat.

It's strange that this sort of news always leaks in the NBA but it never comes out before the fact in Major League Baseball. They ought to give the NFL and the NBA lessons on sitting on that stuff.

That would exclude about 99.99 percent of everyone else in sports though!

The cheating happened during the season.

If a player got his first drug hit during the season, even with no suspension, he couldn't be in the Pro Bowl or eligible for Player of the Year.

It's a much easier case to make that this SEASON is untainted, as opposed to their three SB titles, all won by three points, all, obviously, videotaped in the first half and pored over at the intermission.

Those titles have a shadow attached to them, among the sane and objective.

That's because MLB does not control the MLB awards ... nor does the AP, for that matter. The BBWAA conducts the voting and maintains an embargo so effective even BBWAA members do not get advance notice.
