Globe guys for me, too. Among beat writers hockey or otherwise, Fluto is top percentile -- fair, prolific, smooth writer. Dupont is a true stylist and a great guy (disclaimer: both mentored young JD). Murph is pretty offbeat, but he's a good guy and well-sourced. ESPNBoston made a great hire in MacDonald (ex-ProJo) and they have Kalman chipping in, too. I don't check in with the Herald, CSNNE or 'EEI.

Curious, for anyone who applied: Did you send in a reel? I don't have one, but I'm going to cobble together what I can. Saw that the gig involves TV work (Murph, a radio guy, was on NESN programming quite often).

Looks like Murph did indeed land on his feet...at ESPNBoston

I saw that this job is no longer posted on NESN. Does anyone know if they filled the position?

Adam Kaufman has written a lot about the Bruins lately. I'd guess it's him, although I could be wrong.

Great for Doug. We have worked on the Bruins beat together before. Good guy, knows his stuff.

I second that. Doug is a hockey encyclopedia, and a great reporter.
