    Nice touch. And, yes, I cackled like an old witch hunched over a steaming cauldron telling MacBeth to watch out for the rising of Birnam Wood.

  5. My boss got fired on Day Nine of the 1984 Olympics.
    Called in to tell people what I'd be doing that day and his voice mail was disconnected.

    He's working as a low-level editor until he can find another place though. Moved his stuff out of his office and to an empty desk and caught him working on his resume the other day. But, everyone who would want to celebrate was already run off months ago.
