    Wow.. great move for a great kid.

    Columnist in Jax or NYY beat for NYDN? No brainer ...way less stress, more freedom, better chance to move up to columnist at a bigger paper.

    And to think, I know a former sports editor who wouldn't hire him to cover HS sports 5 years ago :eek:

    The part I got a kick out of was the Post ragging the News about the story saying Joe Torre would be fired. As opposed to, say, a Post editorial congratulating the Boston Red Sox for winning the 2003 American League pennant.

    He's an OK writer, nothing more. Don't see this as a tremendous move for the T-U, but he had to jump at it.

    One thing's for sure. After time spent on the Yanks beat, Urban Meyer's not going to seem like such a much.
