Yea I saw your off-site comment after I posted. In that case, I'd probably consider it.

Funniest Bonnaroo moment was when my buddy stepped out of his tent at about 8 a.m. on Friday and stepped on a squishy garbage bag. Turns out someone took a dump in a garbage bag and set it down randomly in front of his tent door. A true "Welcome to Bonnaroo" moment.

Outdoor festivals have and always will suck. I prefer hitting the bar or club for no more than two bands, having a relaxing drink or two and heading home.

No sweat. No stink. No waiting around for hours. No searching for water, food or shelter. No traffic. No shitty sound.

Never been to Bonnaroo, but I've been to enough other festivals, Dead shows and Rainbow Family Gatherings to give you this advice ...

You can never have too much water.
Write down where you park, as detailed as can be.
Be ready to stand in line for anything and everything.

I'd love the book the groups for 2009. Blue Cheer would be on the bill.

    I've never been either, Henry.
If I go, maybe we can meet at one or the other's tent and burn one.

That would ... work for me.

I must say, though, I'm having to run this through the cost-benefit analysis of just going to the Atlanta Springsteen show and not getting my feet particularly dirty.

Now, if R.E.M. was on the bill, too, it would be game over.

Henry, I know you well enough to recommend that you don't go, opting for the Atlanta show instead.

I went (quite) a few years back, and it was pretty fucking miserable. Way worse than Jazz Fest in NO. I know you're an old stoner from way back, but I'm guessing that won't be your wife's type of crowd. She's way too nice for that shit.

Bruce will be near here soon, in Austin, TX
I can't get excited much after seeing that lame Super Bowl 12-min. performance.
It'd be good if I went. I'm just still thinking about that Super Bowl gig.
