    Job description:

The Idaho Statesman seeks a Boise State football beat reporter to lead its coverage of the highest-interest topic in the state. The reporter will be expected to chase breaking news, produce high-level enterprise, highlight the personalities on the team, provide analysis, interact with readers through social media and retain the Statesman’s place as the go-to source for Boise State football coverage.

This individual must be highly motivated, relentless in the pursuit of news and willing to try new approaches to connect with the digital audience. The reporter also must be able to work independently. This is a reporter-centric beat, where the person in the field is expected to develop and execute a coverage plan. This position requires a unique sense of urgency because of the year-round nature of Boise State football news and the competitive nature of the beat, which is covered on a daily basis by three other media outlets.
