"There's too much emphasis on winning," Miller said. ;D

"Being the front man for it in the last Olympics, I thought it was terrible," he said. "That was the reason [my behavior] was so terrible, the reason I was a hard ass."

    And later...

"For some guys, it was a huge deal to win the nationals," he said. "For me, it doesn't make much difference."

    How do you spell "LOOOOOOOOOSER"?

"In my mind, I'm better than any other racer," he said. "I've been racing against those guys for five, 10 years. Given equal conditions, I feel I can beat those guys any day."

And the mind plays terrible tricks.

    You're not better.

    Douchebag extraordinaire

I like dickheads, which explains my attraction to Bode. Can't argue with the douchebag comment.

But he's a hella great skier, and anybody who claims otherwise isn't watching or knows jack about skiing.

It's like saying Alexander Daigle was a great hockey player.

    It's nothing about nothing.

I think what some scout said about him applies to Bode: "He likes hockey, he just doesn't like playing".

"Great" only applies to those who perform.

And I'm buying Lyman a beer.

    Aren't you a lovely guy. :p

Why don't you go find some hockey thread to post on? At least you'll know what you're talking about there.

And Bode's has performed. Multiple medals and a World Cup, but I guess that doesn't count since it wasn't a gold medal.
