Regarding the flooding in North Texas.

    1. A woman was on the local news berating the local fire department because her 13-year-old son had drowned Tuesday night in a flooded creek. She said the fire fighters should have jumped in to save her son instead of throwing him a rope. (Apparently, in trying to grab the rope, he let go of a bridge support and was swept away.)

    2. Near Fort Worth, several home owners are losing their back yards to erosion as a nearby creek is rising. Several have complained that "the city" needs to do something, that they've asked the city for help for the last five-six years.

    Reactions:
    1. Either keep better track of your teenager or learn him enough common sense to not play in flood waters. And don't blame rescue workers for not saving him.

    2. If you build or move into a house within a mile of even a two-foot wide "crick" then be prepared for whatever weather consequences might come your way.

    End of rant.

Scratch that. I blame the homosexuals. This is God's wrath for allowing their deviant behavior in our society.

  4. 1. You might consider cutting the lady a little slack. She just lost her kid.

    2. Couldn't agree more.

What help did the homeowners want? Were they asking for retaining walls or better flood controls? Did the homeowners offer to do the work themselves, only to be told the city won't allow that?
